Each one is about the size and shape of an almond (that's where the name comes from - 'amygdala' means almond in Greek). Have you ever wondered why you can remember your first kiss, a scary film, or an embarrassing moment from years ago, but you can't remember what you learned in maths class last week? It's all down to your amygdala!
