AQA GCSE Chemistry · Required practical: identifying ions

Case Closed

Work the night shift in the Chemical Evidence Unit. Every case is an unknown solid made of one positive ion and one negative ion. Run the tests yourself: flame tests, sodium hydroxide, acid and limewater, silver nitrate and barium chloride. Watch the colours and precipitates, then accuse the metal ion and the negative ion on the suspect board. No proof, no case.
