We’re excited to share that our brand new AQA GCSE Geography (8035) online course is now live on Brainy Lemons.
It follows every point of the AQA specification for students sitting their exams in 2027, 2028 or 2029. Whether you’re homeschooling, studying as a private candidate, or want extra support alongside school, it’s built to help you learn at your own pace.
And the best part? You can try the first three lessons for free, with no sign up needed.
An AQA GCSE Geography course that covers the whole specification

The course has 94 short lessons and around 47 hours of study time. Each lesson takes about 30 minutes, so it’s easy to fit Geography revision into a busy week.
We’ve written every lesson to match the AQA 8035 specification point by point. Each one shows the exact spec reference at the top, so you always know what you’re learning and why it matters for the exam.
What’s inside the course
The lessons are split into eight themes, matching the way AQA sets out the specification.

- The Challenge of Natural Hazards: tectonic hazards, weather hazards, tropical storms and climate change.
- The Living World: ecosystems, tropical rainforests, hot deserts and cold environments.
- Physical Landscapes in the UK: coastal, river and glacial landscapes.
- Urban Issues and Challenges: global urbanisation, Rio de Janeiro as a city in an NEE, Bristol as a UK city, and sustainable cities.
- The Changing Economic World: global development, reducing the development gap, Nigeria as an NEE, and the UK economy.
- The Challenge of Resource Management: food, water and energy.
- Geographical Applications: issue evaluation and fieldwork.
- Geographical Skills: map, graph, numerical and statistical skills.
AQA lets schools choose some topics, for example two of the three UK landscapes, and either hot deserts or cold environments. We’ve covered all of the options, so you’re ready whichever ones you study.
How the AQA GCSE Geography exams work
AQA GCSE Geography is assessed by three exams at the end of the course:
- Paper 1: Living with the physical environment (1 hour 30 minutes, 35% of the GCSE)
- Paper 2: Challenges in the human environment (1 hour 30 minutes, 35% of the GCSE)
- Paper 3: Geographical applications (1 hour 15 minutes, 30% of the GCSE)
Paper 1 covers the physical themes, Paper 2 covers the human themes, and Paper 3 tests issue evaluation, fieldwork and skills. Our course covers all three, including the fieldwork and skills lessons that are easy to miss when studying on your own.
What a lesson looks like

Every lesson starts with what you’ll learn, the study time and the AQA spec reference. Then it’s clear, friendly explanations with real examples and photos to help it all stick.
There are buttons at the top of every lesson to test yourself straight away.
Quizzes to check what you’ve learnt

Each lesson has its own quiz. You can choose a quick 12 question test, a longer run, a 60 second quickfire round, or endless mode where you keep going until you lose three lives. You can also pick easy, medium or hard.
Learning games: Lemonaire and Last Stand

If you’d rather learn through play, every lesson also has two games. Who Wants To Be A Lemonaire? is our quiz show game, hosted by Zane Zest. Last Stand tests you on the lesson while you hold off the zombies.
They’re a fun way to go over a topic again, and a great break from reading.
Plan your revision with a personal timetable

Pick the date you’re starting and the date of your exam, and the course builds a week by week timetable for you. You can tick off lessons as you go and see exactly how far you’ve got.
